About Us
Blue Moon Farms
The story of Blue Moon Farms began in central New Jersey. What started as a means to provide quality hay for our equine boarding facility has evolved into a passion to produce pure, premium hay not commonly found in the retail market. In 2019 our hay operation relocated to Madison County, Virginia enjoying the rich soils and perfect climate conditions to produce beautiful hay.
We currently farm approximately 60 acres in various products including orchard grass, Timothy hay, fescue, alfalfa blends and oat blends. We also produce rye straw dried naturally without the use of herbicides. While our location has changed, our goal has always remained to provide pure, premium hay and straw to the discerning buyer for their animals.
